What you need
- Hot water
- Baking soda
- Sponge or dishcloth
- Dish soap
How it works
It’s super simple and you don’t even have to scrub! Remove the filters from the extractor hood and place them in the sink. Fill the sink with boiling hot water. Then add a generous splash of baking soda. Baking soda is a powerful cleaner that ensures that the grease dissolves. Is the filter extremely dirty? Then add some dish soap. Be sure to fill the sink with enough hot water to submerge the filters. Let it soak for about half an hour. If the filters do not fit completely in the sink, soak the other half of the filters as well. Pull the plug out of the sink and you will see that the filters are unbelievably clean again! Rinse it well with cold water to make sure you remove all the grease. Allow the filters to air dry completely before placing them back in the hood.
While the filters are soaking, you can easily clean the rest of the hood with a mixture of baking soda and water. Simply mix some hot water with baking soda. Wait until the baking soda has dissolved in the water. Dip a sponge or dishcloth in the mixture of water and baking soda and simply wipe your extractor hood. Then dry with a dry tea towel and your extractor hood will shine like never before! Cleaning your extractor hood has never been so easy!
